TELUS updates the Software update schedule for November month

Software update is something that provides a slew of new improvements, patches that protect your SmartPhones from any bad guys like hackers and malware and memory corruption issue.

Earlier, they thought the update alerts as annoying reminder message that constantly pinning them and driving them crazy. People have begun taking software updates recent over the years.

On that note, most phones get least two Major Android updates with regular security patches for at least 2 years.

What does the carriers such as TELUS have done is that they make fairly simple for the users to know about scheduled date when the new monthly patch or even a major OS update available. They share the OS update schedules to the public to provide an update which SmartPhones will be getting new updates and what is new with it.

Recently, the TELUS published the update schedule for the month of November. As the official schedule says, several SmartPhones offered by Fido will receive the new updates. At first, the TELUS will be rolling out the software update for the Motorola Moto One vision, scheduled on November 2nd. This will be only a security update and will not be added any additional features.

On the very next day, i.e., on 3rd November, TELUS will roll out software update for handy of Samsung SmartPhones. The devices like Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Galaxy XCover Pro will be getting standard security update. There is such security update that The Galaxy Note 9will get, while it will bring optimization and bug fixes. Lastly, the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra wil get latest security patch as well as few optimization and bug fixes with the upcoming update.

Do note that the TELUS updated its software update schedule for two times. First one is on 23rd of October and on today, i.e., 31 October. This software update schedule to highlight several other smartphones that will be getting software updates in November. Here is the list of all these devices:

 Samsung Galaxy S10e, Samsung Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10+, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Google Pixel 2, Google Pixel 2 XL, Google Pixel 3, Google Pixel 3 XL, Google Pixel 3a, Google Pixel 3a XL, Google Pixel 4, Google Pixel 4 XL, Google Pixel 4a, Google Pixel 4a 5G, Google Pixel 5, Huawei P40, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, TCL 10 Pro, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Huawei T5, Motorola Edge+, Motorola RAZR. Samsung Galaxy A21, Samsung Galaxy S9.

None of the Smartphones listed will receive update to Android 11, except Google’s Pixel Lineup (in Canada). Android 11 update was rolling out two months before and so it is so surprisingly to see that no SmartPhones offered by TELUS have got this update.
