Spotify Standalone Music Streaming Supports on Apple Watch
According to report, Spotify (popular music streaming service) has begun rolling out the support for “Standalone streaming” through “Spotify” App for “Apple Watch”. It means Spotify users can listen to music or podcasts from Spotify Apple Watch App.
Since, Spotify Apple Watch App is already available, but its “Standalone streaming” option is new. Listening to Spotify required an iPhone even on Apple Watch models with Standalone cellular connections. However, this feature was available in “Beta” capacity few days back but now Spotify has confirmed that it is rolling out this service for Apple Watch with Standalone music streaming feature. Let’s take have a look at Spotify’s spokesperson statement.
“We’re focused on developing experiences that enable users to listen to Spotify wherever and whenever they want – regardless of the device or platform. After an initial testing period, we are now rolling out streaming capabilities for Spotify on the Apple Watch,”
Developers explained that you can stream Spotify Music from Apple Watch to Bluetooth headphones which is in ideal situations where iPhone is not needed like exercising. Spotify with “Standalone Music Streaming” feature, you are enabled to listen to spotify wherever and whenever you want and hence, the company has already started rolling out this new streaming capabilities of Spotify on Apple Watch.
Interestingly, Spotify App with new Standalone streaming option is now available for all Apple Watches on “Apple App Store”. It can be downloaded for free from App Store.
