MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset with 5G supports Release on Q1 2021
According to report, MediaTek (Taiwanese Fabless Semiconductor Company) has already announced its latest Dimensity 700 chipset with 5G support at “Executive Virtual Summit 2020” event. At the same event, the company also announced MT8195 and MT8192 processors for Chromebooks and explained that they will soon release new high-end 5G enabled chipsets based on 6nm Process Technology with ARM Cortex-A78 cores.
MediaTek had released earlier its Dimensity 720 chipset for mid-range of 5G phones and now the company has announced MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which is quite similar to Dimensity 720 processor. This latest MediaTek processor with 5G supports has two ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC (System-On-Chip) also supports 1080p+ displays with 90Hz refresh rate, up to 64MP camera or 16MP + 16MP dual-camera setup. On other hand, when we talk about its connectivity features, MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor provides Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi 802.11ac (WiFi 5), dual mode 5, and GPS, Glonass, BieDue and India’ss NavIC to help navigate your way around town.
MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset 5G-enabled offers download speeds up to 2.77GBPS with its 5G UltraSave Technology. The MODEM onboard supports much needed features including 5G carrier Aggregation and Dual 5G SIM. However, it is expected that Realme upcoming phones will be the budgeted phones with 5G connectivity option and other brands will follow the same later in 2021.
At the moment, MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset has not yet released but company already unveiled this new chipset and will be release next year along with two new premium Chromebooks chipsets including 7nm MT8192 and 6nm MT8195 SoC.
