iPhone 12 Mini Supports 12W Charging MagSafe Instead of 15W

According to report, iPhone 12 Mini will have new MagSafe Charger with 12W charging support instead of 15W while iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max supports 15W charging with MagSafe fast charger.

Last month, Apple Company announced four new iPhones with new MagSafe wireless charging support for all of them. On the announcement page, Apple simply mentioned that new Magsafe charger can charge you iPhones at 15W depending, but it is not true for all iPhones model released.

The company also mentioned that iPhone 12 Mini will be smallest iPhone variant and will be charged at 12W instead of 15W regardless of the power adapter you use. “Power Adapter” rated at at least 9V/2.01A for charging iPhone 12 Mini will be required, while for rest three iPhone variant announced, power adapter rated at 9V/2.22A or 9V/2.56A will be required.

However, if you use power adapter rated above 9V/2.56A, then keep in mind that the charging speed will still be the same or maximum 15W. So if you are planning to buy new iPhone 12 including iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and/ or iPhone 12 Pro Max, then it is sure that you will get maximum 15W charging with MagSafe.

But in case if you want iPhone 12 Mini- smallest iPhone 12 lineup phones, then you should know that this phone doesn’t support 15W charging with MagSafe.

iPhone 12 Mini will be available in base variant with 64GB storage at starting price of $729 and in 128GB and 256GB options will be available at the cost of $879 and $979 respectively.
