Google India FY20 Revenue Increased 35% to Rs. 5,593 Cr

According to report, Google (American Multinational Company) explained that its India revenues grow 34.8% to about Rs.5,593 Cr in Financial Year 2019-20 (FY20) as per regulatory documents. For those who are not aware, Google India’s total revenue was Rs. 4,147 Cr in FY19 or end of 31 March, 2019 as per Registrar of Companies filing shared by market Intelligence firm Tofler.

The company also added in its statement that the net profit was higher by about 23.9% at Rs. 586.2 Cr in Financial Year 2019-20 as compare to Rs. 472.8 Cr in preceding fiscal. Let’s take have a look at statement of Registrar of Companies filing.

“The Board is glad to inform you that during the period beginning from April 1, 2019, and ending on March 31, 2020, the company has achieved a turnover (revenue from operations) of INR 53,847 Mn, which is higher than the earlier year of INR 39,928 Mn”

Furthermore, the total expenses of Google India have also rose 30.4% to Rs. 4,455.5 Cr in Financial year 2019-20 (FY20) from Rs. 3,416.5 Cr in Financial Year 2018-19 (FY19). Let’s take have a look at statement of Google India’s spokesperson when he contacted with PTI (Press Trust of India).

“In the FY19-20 financial year, Google India made a pre-tax profit of INR 11,383 Mn, resulting in INR 3,020 Mn of corporate income taxes payable, and invested almost INR 4 Bn in our Indian operations”

Moreover, Google also stated in filing that the company was made 4 CSR grants in Financial Year 2019-20 and shared about Rs. 13.34 Cr to non-governmental companies working to improve the quality of education and safety of children.

These NGOs have used funds donated by Google India from its FY20 about Rs. 13.34 Cr, it improving the education Systems and for the safety of the children, and to enhance their work by implanting new technologies and create innovative new products to make teaching more accessible.
